Another major source of waste and pollution is found in the way that we as americans eat and shop for food. Seth Leitman of Greenlivingguy.com reported recently on the positive impact that eating locally sourced foods can have on our carbon footprint. He says that by eating local beef for example. For it will reduce transportation costs. So and therefore will reduce our carbon impact by not shipping the food from Brazilian rainforest. All where much of our imported beef originates. So if you want some accountability folks! Well then join others on earthday.org. Especially in taking the pledge. That’s to eat healthier and reducing your carbon emissions by buying local produce whenever possible. You can start with a small goal at first, like visiting your local farmer’s market once a month.
