Video to Petition Governor Rick Snyder to Create a Compensation Fund for Victims of the Flint Water Crisis
Hip Hop Caucus, creator of People’s Climate Music, exclusively released “Trouble in the Water,” a cinematic music video starring Common on Facebook. “Trouble in the Water” is a record on the album “HOME” (Heal Our Mother Earth), Executive Produced by 5-time Grammy winning artist/producer and Hip Hop Caucus’ Director of Arts and Culture Malik Yusef. The video will call on viewers to sign a petition, from their Facebook or onpeoplesclimatemusic.com, calling on Michigan Governor Rick Snyder to start a compensation fund for victims of the Flint water crisis.
Through People’s Climate Music, the Hip Hop Caucus organizes diverse and influential artists. All to create music that inspires action around the climate change crisis. Thats with a goal of leading the way to a clean energy future.

For on Thursday, April 21, 2016, the video for “Trouble in the Water” also featuring Hip Hop Caucus’ Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr. Also Kumasi, Choklate, Aaron Fresh & Laci Kay. It was hosted exclusively on Facebook until its wide spread release on Friday, April 22, 2016 – Earth Day.
‘Trouble in the Water’ links the global climate crisis to local environmental justice crises. Especially in poor communities and communities of color. For that’s including the ongoing water disaster in Flint, MI. That was said Rev. Lennox Yearwood Jr. The Rev is President and CEO of the Hip Hop Caucus.

The crisis in Flint has put politics and profit over the lives of people. Now it is time to reverse that horrific process. Moreover and especially to create a compensation fund.
