Our Story: Creating a Sustainable Beauty Industry
At Green Circle Salons, we believe beauty should never come at the expense of the planet. Our story began with one simple but powerful question: What if the salon industry could become sustainable?
Because of that vision, we created a movement that helps salons and spas reduce their environmental footprint. We didn’t want small, temporary fixes. Instead, we set out to transform the beauty industry from the inside out, making sustainability a core part of every service.
The Problem We Set Out to Solve
Each year, salons generate tons of waste—aluminum foils, color tubes, hair clippings, plastics, paper, and chemicals. Much of it ends up in landfills or waterways, harming ecosystems and communities.
We saw an opportunity to change that. Because salons are hubs of creativity and care, we knew they could also lead the way toward a greener future.
Our Mission and Purpose
Our mission is clear: to make beauty sustainable. We work to empower salons and spas to recover up to 95% of their beauty waste, diverting it from landfills and waterways.
But it’s about more than recycling. We help businesses embed sustainability into their culture, services, and brand. Because when beauty professionals share this commitment with their clients, they help spread awareness and inspire change far beyond their walls.
How We Make It Happen
We designed a comprehensive, user-friendly program that works for salons of all sizes. Our certified sustainable solutions help beauty professionals:
- Collect and ship back hair clippings, foils, color tubes, plastics, and more.
- Safely recover chemicals to prevent water contamination.
- Transform waste into new products or clean energy.
Because of our network of partners and facilities, we ensure these materials are responsibly managed and repurposed.
