I am going to be speaking at the The Northeast Green Building & Design Show, on October 9th at 11 am at the Raritan Expo Center in Edison, NJ.
Go Green Expo, which is renowned for reaching tens of thousands of people across the country with its forum for increasing awareness of energy and environmental challenges, showcasing green products and services and educating the public and corporate world on the many innovative ways to go and be green, launches the new event with the support and sponsorship of the prestigious United States Green Building Council New Jersey Chapter. The organization joined forces with Go Green Expo to reinforce New Jersey’s efforts to bring green building, energy efficiency, tax cuts and green jobs to the area.
“The potential impact that can be made through advancements in sustainable building and design is limitless in possibility and reach,” said Bradford Rand, CEO and Founder of Go Green Expo. “With projects in 114 of the world’s 195 nations pursuing the USGBC’s LEED certification, this is category that needs a forum to share information. We’re happy to create such an event in New Jersey.”
The Northeast Green Buildilng and Design event will showcase a variety of special interest consumer and business areas including Home and Building, Energy Conservation and Recycling; and Business and Electronics. Attendees to this year’s show will have the opportunity to explore and learn about all aspects of green building and design including everything from sustainable flooring to recycled surfaces and commercial and residential solar energy systems to energy efficient window options, to name a few.
Green building professionals and those interested in remodeling, architecture and sustainable design will have the opportunity to see the newest and most popular energy-efficient and environmentally-responsible products and services for green building and design projects. In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to experience and learn from interactive seminars featuring leaders in green building, local politicians and community organizations. Some partners in this first show include NJ Biz, New Jersey Builder’s Association, Sustainable Furnishing’s Council, The Architect’s Newspaper, E – The Environmental Magazine and Greenopia.
Architects, building developers, interior designers, facilities managers, general contractors, electricians / plumbers, operations mangers, homeowners & everyone interested in learning about environmentally friendly goods & services in the green building & design industry are invited to attend the Building & Design Show which is open to industry professionals on Thursday October 8 and to all on Friday October 9.
Tickets are $10 in advance for both days or $20 at the door.
In an effort to make every aspect of the show as green as possible, Go Green Expo has enlisted Brighter Planet to calculate the event’s electricity usage, on-site fuel use, staff travel, event vehicles, waste disposal and attendee travel, and then offset their carbon emissions for a completely carbon neutral show. The Go Green Expo National Tour will boast the latest in green design and function, supported by
Metropolitan Exposition Services and Printing Responsibly, such as: 100% compostable and biodegradable table top coverings, recycled material booth ID signs, biodegradable banner material, soy and water based inks and a waste management program that takes environmental and social ramifications into account by utilizing local donation programs.
