Heart of Green Awards In the Heart of New York a Hit!

Ted Danson and I talking Oceana.org and to become a Wave Maker!!

I am at The Daily Green’s Heart of Green Awards at the Hearst Tower in New York City. This event is celebrated for honoring those who have made significant contributions to environmental sustainability. There is a view to go look at forever, panoramic and breathtaking. It offers glimpses of the bustling city below while reminding us of the beauty we aim to protect. It is also here, amidst the excitement. I’ll upload a slideshow from the night shortly, capturing various moments and the vibrant atmosphere. However, here is a great picture of me interviewing Ted Danson, the esteemed actor and environmentalist. He received the 2010 Heart of Green Lifetime Achievement Award, showcasing his unwavering dedication to eco-friendly initiatives. In addition, you can see Josie Moran getting ready for her interview. She is radiating enthusiasm as she prepares to share her insights on sustainable beauty and lifestyle practices.

It was also great to see my good friend Summer Rayne Oakes at the event. She looked so great at the event tonight.

So far the program has been amazing.  Gloria Ruben and Dan Shapley are doing a great job for keeping the event running smoothly.  So many people were there for the event.

Awardees for the Heart of Green Awards

Awardees for 2010 included Ted Danson for a Lifetime Achievement Award. He was really fun to talk with. I had a really great blog talk radio interview. He asked me to become a Wavemaker at the organization he is on the Board of Directors. It is called Oceana which is the protect our oceans knew how to have fun and also talk about Oceana.org. Other honorees were Jamie Oliver (The Food Revolutionary), Josie Maran (The Role Model), Dr. Philip Landrigan (The Guardian), Tracey Ryder and Carole Topalian (The Ground Breakers), John Flicker (The Steward), and Fred Schaeffer (The Local Hero).
