manufacturers globally, MSI has introduced this same LED technology with directional accent spot and flood lighting.
When one of the world’s leading manufacturers of Mine Cap-lamp systems first approached MSi to develop a replacement LED light bulb for their Cap-lamps the task seemed daunting. How do you replace proven halogen performance in the toughest work environment on Earth? Many prototypes had already been tested with dismal results and the Government Mining Engineer would not allow any of these products underground. After years of testing to comply with the most stringent safety requirements MSi shipped the first order of LED Cap-lamps in 2004. Today there are over 200,000 units of the MSi Cap-lamps in daily use in the mines in South Africa, with an additional 50,000 units on order. Research is on going and we are currently involved in the development of the next generation of Cap-lamps with many additional features.

The more than 400 million “sockets” at retail in America are their niche, and MSi is in full production shipping the next generation of retail lighting…the amazing iPAR-38, iPAR30 and iMR-16 intelligent LED replacement lamps.
