“We developed our free, online Energy Savings Calculator so homeowners can see the hundreds of dollars they can save by filling in the cracks and gaps around their home with insulating foam,” says Kevin Corcoran, marketing manager at Touch ‘n Foam.  “When people discover how much cool air or heat is slipping out of the little gaps and holes around their homes they realize it’s really quite similar to having holes in their pockets.”

The Energy Savings Calculator allows you to quickly add up the potential savings by filling gaps and cracks in your home with Touch ‘n Foam products. The more you foam, the more you can save!

To calculate potential savings, homeowners simply enter their average monthly energy bill total, the square footage of their house and the number of areas that are susceptible to unwanted airflow. The tool then calculates their potential monthly and annual savings on their energy bills, and the amount of time it will take for the Touch ‘n Foam insulating sealant (about $5 per can) to pay for itself.

“Some leaks, like those around windows and doors, are easy to identify because a homeowner can usually feel the air entering their home,” says Corcoran. “But it’s important to also inspect for less obvious cracks and gaps in and around the home.”

Areas to inspect include attic hatches, light switches, electrical outlets, foundation sill plates, electrical/cable/HVAC entry points, bath vents, plumbing entry points and dryer vents.
