National Plug In Day is Sunday, October 16, 2011!

Thanks to Dan Davids, President of Plug-in America and Carl Vogel from the NY Long Island Electric Auto Association.

National Plug In Day is Sunday, October 16, 2011!  It is an unprecedented nationwide calling out for electric cars in the USA!!!  This event is being held because of the environmental, cash back, and reducing our reliance on imported oils.

Plug In America, the Sierra Club, and my friends at the Electric Auto Association are working on this nationwide effort.

The “flagship event” will be a huge parade of plug-in cars in the L.A. area. Chris Paine from the films “Who Killed the Electric Car?” and “Revenge of the Electric Car,” are going to speak.

They also expect:

to at least double the number of vehicles from history’s greenest procession. This was the 78-vehicle parade, which showcased a stunning array of eco-friendly cars and highlighted the importance of sustainable transportation in today’s world. It’s being coordinated by Plug In America, an organization dedicated to promoting electric vehicles and reducing the carbon footprint. That was in sync with President Obama’s inauguration, a time marked by a renewed commitment to environmental policies and clean energy initiatives. The parade aimed not only to celebrate these advancements in automotive technology but also to inspire communities to embrace greener alternatives for a healthier planet.
