The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) has introduced an interactive map. A map that’s showcasing every major existing or planned renewable energy project across the country. Whether it’s a solar installation, wind farm, or biofuels operation. Now you can explore projects by state, county, or zip code. Additionally, the map provides insights into the renewable energy potential of your area. - Environmental Entrepreneurs’ Clean Energy Jobs Newsletter
Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2), an NRDC-affiliated organization, has launched a weekly newsletter and website detailing new job announcements and expansions in the clean energy sector. The platform breaks down job data by region, state, and congressional district, offering a comprehensive view of the industry’s growth.
Real-World Impact
These resources highlight tangible developments:
- In Kentucky, a biofuels project in Louisville is projected to save 340 jobs across three companies. Additionally, vehicle efficiency initiatives at Johnson Controls and Hitachi Automotive Systems America are expected to create over 100 new positions.
- In Florida, a biomass plant in Gainesville is set to generate more than 665 construction jobs, demonstrating the sector’s capacity to boost local economies.
Interestingly, many of these projects are emerging in regions represented by policymakers who have expressed skepticism about clean energy. This is underscoring the sector’s widespread appeal and potential.
