From the Green Living Guy: Updates and Exciting News
Hey everyone—The Green Living Guy here. It’s been a minute since my last big update, but I’ve been busy. I want to share what’s been going on.
First off, I’ve been working hard on my next book. Build Your Own Electric Vehicle, Third Edition is set to release in January 2013. This project has taken a lot of focus, but I’m thrilled about the progress.
For anyone who’s followed me, you know this book is close to my heart. I’m updating everything to help more people make the shift to electric. It’s practical, direct, and empowers you to build your own EV.

Planning a Book Tour
But there’s more. I’m gearing up for a big tour to promote the new edition. The response so far has been positive. I’m talking with Barnes and Noble about events. Things look promising.
Promotion is key. That’s why I recently partnered with a fantastic publicity firm, Zapatero Bucaram, based in Houston, Texas. They get what I’m trying to do. Together, we’ll make sure the book reaches as many people as possible.
Honestly, it feels good to work with people who understand green living and sustainability. They’re helping me get the word out in the right way.
A Busy Summer for Green Business
This summer has been anything but slow. The green business world is taking off. Everywhere I look, companies are adopting cleaner practices.
People want sustainability to be part of everyday life. It’s no longer just for a niche market. That change is exciting.
Of course, I’ve stayed busy reporting on those stories on GreenLivingGuy.com. It’s been rewarding to see interest in green tech grow. The message is spreading.
Collaborations with Major Brands
Besides the book, I’ve had the chance to work with some big names. For instance, I’ve been involved in projects with Ford Motor Company. They’re taking sustainability seriously.
Ford has made real strides with electric and hybrid vehicles. It’s encouraging to see traditional automakers commit to greener technology.
These collaborations matter. They show that green living isn’t some fringe idea. It’s mainstream. It’s the future.
Emphasizing Energy Efficiency
Of course, I keep pushing for the basics, too. Energy efficiency remains critical. It’s the simplest way to make a big impact.
Seriously—think about it. You can do energy efficiency all day long. Weatherize your home. Upgrade lighting. Use efficient appliances. It’s easy, cost-effective, and better for the planet.
Energy efficiency often gets overlooked because it’s not flashy. But it’s essential. That’s the message I keep sharing.
Featured Interview: THE CRINGE and John Cusimano
And here’s another highlight. On September 14, 2012, I sat down for a great interview on my BlogTalkRadio show with John Cusimano from the eco-friendly rock band THE CRINGE.
John talked about balancing music with environmental awareness. He shared how the band keeps things sustainable while staying true to their sound.
It was a fun, insightful conversation. Music can spread messages in ways other media can’t. Bands like THE CRINGE prove you can rock out while caring about the planet.

So that’s what’s been going on. I’ve got big plans for the coming months. Between the book launch, the tour, and continued green coverage, there’s plenty ahead.
