“What a great turn out!”, New Jersey Assemblyman Timothy Eustace told the crowd of more than 100 people who had gathered in the crisp autumn air, their excitement palpable. “We are zealots for electric cars, and we welcome and thank you for being here,” he continued, his voice filled with enthusiasm. “Your presence today signifies a shared commitment to sustainability and innovation in our community, and together, we can pave the way for a cleaner, greener future. Every one of you plays a vital role in embracing this transformative technology, and I look forward to seeing how we can work together to not only advocate for these vehicles but also to inspire others to make the switch.”

Tesla Motors built 100 Supercharger Stations
At a Supercharger, a Model S can get half a charge in as little as 20 minutes. This enables drivers to enjoy the convenience of charging while taking a break or grabbing a meal. This ultimately allows for long-distance travel without having to pay a cent for gas (or, now that we mention it, electricity).
These strategically located Superchargers are often found along major highways and in urban centers. Thus, they are easily accessible for long road trips. By charging only at Superchargers, Model S owners can drive for free, forever.
They enjoy the benefits of an electric vehicle without the burden of fuel costs—a significant advantage over traditional combustion engine vehicles. It is worth noting that the Tesla Motors Supercharger system provides this convenience seamlessly. This not only reflects a commitment to sustainability but also transforms the way people perceive travel. In this way, they can journey further without the anxiety of expensive refueling stops.
Tesla has now opened 86 Supercharger stations in North America and 14 in Europe. We energized the first ones in China just this week, expanding the global reach of Tesla Motors Supercharger infrastructure. These numbers are growing rapidly as we fill out electric highways around the world. Model S owners can find directions to Superchargers on their cars’ 17-inch touchscreens. Meanwhile, we’re building a network that will ultimately mean drivers will never be more than 100 miles from a Supercharger. By the end of next year, we’ll have 98 percent of the U.S. population covered. Meanwhile, the ongoing rollout of Tesla Motors Supercharger technology demonstrates rapid progress globally.
