Let’s hear it for YouTube and looking back. I mean to an oldie but a goodie BMW throwback on the i8. Back at the 2013 North American International Auto Show, my buddy from Geekazine and I raided the new car display from BMW called the i8. So this is a BMW i8 throwback.
LOL Now of course we all know this car but man it was funny how i got into the glass doors to touch the car.
I showed a very nice gentleman from Germany a copy of my book Build Your Own Plugin Hybrid EV. I showed him where we added the car. His American counterpart explained in German and off to the races we go.
So what a BMW i8 throwback huh?? The plug-in hybrid drive system with a passenger cell made from carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) and an aluminum frame for the combustion engine and electric motor, the battery pack and the suspension makes this the it car! BMW I want the car.
