Earlier this week we announced, via an exclusive in The Hollywood Reporter. All that EMA will be Honoring the incredible producer and activist Russell Simmons. That’s with our Missions in Music Award at the 27th Annual EMA Awards. The Awards will be Hosted by our amazing Board Member and last year’s Male EMA Futures Honoree, Jaden Smith. The event will also take place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on September 23rd.

From animal activism to educational programs on climate change. For Simmons has worked on several projects. All aimed to raise awareness of environmental issues.

Russell Simmons is set to be honored at the Environmental Media Awards, which will be hosted by Mr. JJ Abrams. The ceremony will also take place on the evening of November 15th, 2017. In addition, it will be at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Awarding of the Environmental Media Awards is also a joint project of the World Wildlife Fund, The Global Greengrants Fund, InsideOut, and finally EcoFocus. They are open to journalists, organizations and individuals. Those who are also committed to communicating the importance of protecting the environment and conserving moreover natural resources.

In addition, The Environmental Media Awards will recognize excellence in media. All that is committed to promoting environmental awareness, sustainable practices and beneficial impacts on the planet. 2017 will mark the 29th year that the Awards have been presented.

Yesristo Grant; Founder and CEO of Green Network Media; and the Executive Producer of The Global Green Grants Fund’s annual “Springboard to Sustainability” Awards which are open to both media and non-media organizations that are committed to demonstrating the need for increased environmental and sustainability awareness. All  throughout the world.
