The System to enable smoother EV charging experience with autonomous feature Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation. They unveiled a video featuring the concept of electric vehicle wireless charging system. All with the Automated Valet Parking System (AVPS).

The system will offer a convenience to drivers who are facing an overcrowding of both parking and charging locations. This is especially as electric vehicle numbers grow steadily. Cause this goes relocating from fully charged vehicles to open charging stations. Therefore this is allowing other awaiting electric vehicles to charge.

Thereby All is needed is commanding the vehicle to charge using a smart phone. Then the vehicle will automatically cruise to a vacant wireless charging station. When the vehicle is fully charged, it will move to another vacant parking space using the Automated Valet Parking System (AVPS), allowing other vehicles to charge at the spot. When the driver calls for the vehicle, it will then autonomously return to locating the driver.

Also, the overall process performing by continuous communication between the electric vehicle, parking facility, charging system and driver. The parking facility sends place of empty parking spaces and charging stations, while the charging system updates the charging status of the vehicle in real-time.

In conclusion, Hyundai and Kia are commercializing the technology upon the launch of level 4 autonomous vehicle around year 2025. As well, Hyundai and Kia also plan to commercialize autonomous vehicles. That’s in various smart cities from 2021. Finally, all with a goal of launching fully autonomous vehicles by 2030.
