Thanks to the business community of GE (General Electric) and Hampton Inns. They put their charging stations at Hampton Inn around the Capital District area of NYS. There are charging stations also at the Hertz rental Albany International Airport. So we are talking about the most used EV charging stations at hotels and at Hertz in airports. That’s real EV connectivity. Finally, all this is in the Capital District of New York State.

This was determined after speaking with their great EV staff at Hertz (Asaf Selinger). Then coordinated with Hilton Hotels and the Hampton Inn. I toured around the area in a Chevy Volt and charged up at the Hampton Inn locations.

Without question, the EV function never died and could be driven all electric. That’s because the EV charging stations allow access to all manufacturers. All for real-time station status and charging notifications.

As reported in 2014, Albany International Airport has six electric vehicles (EV) charging stations for airport traveler use at Hertz. This stems from a collaboration by the New York Power Authority (NYPA), the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and the Albany County Airport Authority. The installations are part of a statewide network of nearly 3,000 EV stations. All are consequently slated for various public and workplace locations across New York State.

The charging stations are with Charge NY, a statewide initiative. One was launched by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo in 2013. All to help bring about greater use of plug-in EVs.  The installations are part of the Multi-State Zero-Emission Vehicle Action Plan.

In conclusion, this is the proper collaboration with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). So therefore, we are seeing EV mobility in action. Finally, It is a great collaboration.
