Terms and Limits

*Limit 7 items per customer per day. All brands of items are also accepted. That’s regardless of where purchased.

Store management also has the right to also refuse to accept items. Those that may pose a health or safety risk. For example:

  1. broken monitors not packed in a box
  2. laptops with damaged batteries

Rechargeable Recycling battery Staples

Bring your old rechargeable batteries to your local Staples for free recycling. All collected batteries are also responsibly recycled by Call2Recycle.
In addition, Staples accepts and also redeems if eligible for:

  1. Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd)
  2. Lithium Ion (Li-Ion)
  3. Small Sealed Lead Acid (SSLA/Pb)
  4. Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH)
  5. Nickel Zinc (Ni-ZN)
  6. Batteries that are 11 pounds or less.

Moreover they also cannot accept single-use alkaline. As well as lithium batteries. Finally, automotive/wet-cell batteries.
