Cannabidiol (CBD) has become a household name in the health and wellness industry, primarily due to its powerful medicinal properties. Not only can the compound help to treat conditions like pain, anxiety, inflammation, and nausea. But it can also prevent these conditions from occurring in the first place. Additionally, there are different types of CBD products and ways to consume it.

What’s more, using cannabidiol also comes with tons of benefits for the environment. So, it comes as no surprise that many eco-friendly consumers are increasingly adopting CBD into their lifestyles.

But Who Is An Eco-Friendly Consumer?

An eco-friendly consumer simply refers to a consumer who endeavors to pursue an eco-friendly lifestyle. Leading an eco-friendly lifestyle means that every purchase decision you make is conscious of conserving the environment.

As an eco-friendly consumer, you have a noble responsibility to only invest in biodegradable products. You must also ensure that you recycle whatever is recyclable as a measure towards reducing your carbon footprint.

So, how does CBD come in?

Now, cannabidiol is an extract from the cannabis plant. The mere fact that CBD is plant-derived implies that it’s an all-natural extract. Therefore it can serve as a safer alternative to synthetic medications and food products that are formulated using artificial additives.

But there are more reasons why eco-friendly consumers are finding the idea of CBD attractive.

Reasons Eco-friendly Consumers Are Gravitating Towards CBD

The primary reason many eco-friendly consumers are adopting cannabidiol is the long list of diseases that the substance can treat. Pain is the most common medical condition that medical cannabis experts often recommend cannabidiol for.

As a pain-relieving medication, CBD is preferred to conventional opioids in that the substance carries lower risks of toxicity and side effects. That’s mostly because it doesn’t interfere with the opioid receptors located within the brain and central nervous system. Instead, CBD interacts with special endocannabinoid receptors widespread in the body’s peripheral organs and tissues, known as CB2 receptors.

Anxiety is another common condition that CBD might help with. The best part about CBD for anxiety is that the compound works against all anxiety disorders. After purchasing CBD vape juice for anxiety from a reliable supplier, you can use it for generalized anxiety disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, or panic disorder.

Besides pain and anxiety, CBD might also be effective against other medical conditions, including;

Now, it makes more sense to purchase an all-natural product that can treat scores of diseases as opposed to investing in several synthetic drugs that are only effective against a handful of illnesses.

Do you know why cannabis is commonly referred to as weed? That’s because, from time immemorial, the plant has generally thrived on its own.

Indeed, cannabis is one of the most widely-distributed plants, thanks to its ability to flourish under extreme weather conditions. What’s more, researchers have developed even more resilient cannabis species, such as Cannabis hybrids.

The resilience of cannabis as a plant fits within the greater goal of environmental preservation.

As the plants can thrive just about anywhere, it means there will hardly ever be a shortage of naturally-produced CBD products. Even better, cannabis’ resilience means that growers will not necessarily have to use pesticides or non-biodegradable fertilizers on their farms, which directly reduces their carbon footprint.

There are numerous ways to extract CBD from hemp and other cannabis cultivars. However, CO2 Extraction remains the most popular and recommended extraction method.

As the name implies, CO2 Extraction uses carbon dioxide to isolate cannabidiol from raw cannabis extracts.

Now, many pharmaceutical industries emit CO2 as a by-product, which goes against the goals of ecological preservation, considering that carbon dioxide is one of the common environmental pollutants.

On the other hand, CBD extraction using the CO2 Extraction method uses up CO2, reducing the amount of this gas that diffuses into the atmosphere. CO2 Extraction is also considered safe as the CBD obtained this way usually contains minimal toxins.

We already highlighted the various diseases that cannabidiol can treat, manage, or even prevent. But here’s the best part – most CBD products are also formulated to include other cannabinoids.

Such products fall within the broader categories of ‘broad-spectrum’ or ‘full-spectrum’ products.

The difference between broad-spectrum and full-spectrum CBD is that it contains the mind-altering compound, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), whereas the former doesn’t. However, both products come with the blessings of other medically beneficial compounds like cannabigerol (CBG), cannabinol (CBN), etc.

So, theoretically speaking, a 10-gram tablet of CBD-based medication should be several times more potent than an opioid or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) of the same mass. That ultimately reflects positively on the environment as it reduces the amount of pollution resulting from the manufacture of most conventional drugs.

If you’re passionate about the eco-friendly lifestyle and have been looking for a reason to incorporate cannabidiol into your lifestyle, you now have enough justifications. Just remember to begin with small doses to avoid experiencing any adverse effects.
