The 2022 Kia EV6 was named winner of a WardsAuto’s 10 Best Interiors & UX award. So the EV6 is Kia’s dedicated battery-electric vehicle. It is the first step in a projected cadence of efficient and progressive vehicles. One guided by the brand’s ‘Plan S’ strategy.
I’ve learned Steven Canter, COO and EVP of Kia America is very honored to get this award. Especially they are honored to receive this award for the EV6. For it’s one that represents an important step. One toward Kia’s full transformative ‘Plan S’. That’s toward their global electrification strategy.
When I saw the EV6 at the New York International Auto show I saw it. It’s modern and newer bold design elements. Also the interior is gorgeous. For they reinforce Kia’s “future-forward vision for electric vehicles.”
To determine the winners, the team at Wards evaluates new or heavily redesigned vehicle interiors. In addition they add in the user-experience technology.
Moreover, scoring is based on a variety of metrics. For that’s including design and aesthetics, comfort, materials, fit-and-finish, connectivity and infotainment. Finally displays and controls. Then advanced driver assist systems and value.
When I saw it at the NYIAS, the Kia EV6 prices and quality is a value. I felt that’s a stylish and sporty interior and highly innovative morphing controls that save space and reduce clutter. That came also from Drew Winter. For he is WardsAuto editor and judge. “That, plus its very spacious and comfortable cabin and top-notch materials, put the EV6 firmly on our 2022 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX list.”
In conclusion, the EV6 continues to rise in popularity. To date, more than 10,000 EV6 models have been sold throughout the U.S., contributing to the 132-percent growth in sales of Kia’s electrified vehicles. For that’s over the previous May record set in 2021. Finally and the 5-percent increase over the all-time monthly sales record for the vehicle category set in March of 2022.
