Launch of Neighbor to Neighbor Lighting Gets Boost From Me “The Green Living Guy”!

Last night I helped launch of Neighbor to Neighbor Lighting, a free program that will help Connecticut homeowners save on their electricity bills by switching to energy efficient light bulbs.
Neighbor to Neighbor Lighting is part of the larger Neighbor to Neighbor Energy Challenge. The program is a free and simple first step for homeowners who want to reduce their energy consumption. Seth Leitman, co-author of the book Green Lighting who is often referred to as “The green living guy”,took center stage at the program’s launch event at Eastern Connecticut State University (ECSU) to discuss his new book and the importance of energy efficiency.

CO₂ Emission Capture and Its Climate Impact

Carbon Sciences company wants to create a bio-fuel from natural gas, methane and CO2. Not really sure if I dig the idea but I’ll give them equal time on my site since people should hear all sides. Their insistence that electric cars can’t work because of infrastructure is flawed since every home, pole and wire has electricity already so that’s Strike One.

Ford engineers used the “Living Electric” display at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show To Prove How Electric Cars Rock!

The “Living Electric” display at the 2011 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) was a time for Ford engineers to learn more about the all-new Focus Electric.
Shawn Lightner, Ford global electrified products program manager said “We thought this would be a perfect opportunity to discover even more about how the cars perform using the data acquisition technology employed on other development vehicles.”
“The Ford engineering team was able to capture and gain insight on how the batteries were performing from charging to depletion, the range the Focus Electric was getting per charge, as well as data on how the car was doing overall,” explained Lightner.
