Water heaters represent about 15 percent of the average household’s energy consumption. Upgrading to an ENERGY STAR water heaters can help improve a home’s overall energy consumption. It can also help homeowners save up to $300 a year on energy bills.  In areas of the country where electricity and natural gas prices are much higher. So you could possibly expect more of a savings on your energy bill!

“More and more consumers are seeking ways to save on both energy and cost in their homes. Our new Facebook profile provides them with the resources they need to make an informed decision when it comes time to purchase an Energy Star water heater,” said Kara Rodgers, senior program manager for the Consortium for Energy Efficiency (CEE) and spokesperson for the Coalition.
