Electric Vehicle Event for Now!
Revenge of the Electric Car Hits White Plains
I always love an electric vehicle event. For in a bold electric vehicle event and move to promote sustainable transportation it happened. Most notably and in: White Plains, New York. For they are gearing up for an electrifying Earth Week celebration.
Electric Car Event
The city joins forces with environmental groups to showcase the resurgence of electric vehicles (EVs).

Star-Studded Screening
On April 18, 2012, the Cinema De Lux in White Plains will host a special screening of “Revenge of the Electric Car.” Director Chris Paine’s latest documentary follows four entrepreneurs racing to bring electric cars back to the market.

Mayor Tom Roach will kick off the event with opening remarks. His presence also underscores the city’s commitment to green initiatives.
From Eulogy to Resurrection
Paine’s previous film, “Who Killed the Electric Car?” (2006), chronicled the demise of early EV efforts. Now, “Revenge” tells a different story. It captures the industry’s renewed passion for electric vehicles from 2007 to 2010.
“We’re witnessing a pivotal moment in automotive history,” says Christina Ficcina, Executive Director of NYC Lower Hudson Valley Clean Cities. “This electric vehicle event aims to educate residents about reducing their carbon footprint through EV adoption.”

Beyond the Silver Screen
The electric vehicle event / screening is just one part of a larger initiative. For the White Plains Earth Week will also feature various events promoting sustainable living. in addition to this electric vehicle event will also be demonstrations and information sessions.
BMW of Westchester’s sponsorship signals growing industry support for EVs. As major manufacturers invest in electric technology, consumers gain more eco-friendly options.
Charging Ahead
While challenges remain, the mood in White Plains is optimistic. This electric vehicle events organizers believe that education is so key to accelerating EV adoption.
Finally, as the automotive landscape evolves, one thing is clear: the electric car is back with a vengeance. So White Plains leads the charge. Finally they are proving that local initiatives can spark global change.
