Eco-Village in Wisconsin
River Falls, Wisconsin, is home to Habitat’s St. Croix Valley Eco Village, a sustainable community featuring 18 energy-efficient homes. Notably, this innovative project follows Passive House standards while also using solar energy and radiant heating. In addition, the homes include rainwater harvesting systems with cisterns and barrels. Moreover, the neighborhood supports edible landscaping and community gardens.
