Raising Awareness Nationwide

NBCUniversal’s sustainability initiative, Green Is Universal, wants people to see the impact of food waste. Moreover, the campaign shares tips for smarter shopping and meal planning. In addition, it urges consumers to use leftovers creatively. Therefore, the focus is on simple changes with big results.

Partnering for a Greener Future

The campaign brings together chefs, bloggers, and media outlets. Moreover, they share recipes, storage tips, and waste-cutting strategies. In addition, social media amplifies these ideas using #NoFoodWasted. Therefore, people everywhere can join the movement to reduce waste.

Why Reducing Food Waste Matters

Food waste contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. Moreover, rotting food in landfills releases methane, a powerful pollutant. Cutting waste saves resources used in farming, shipping, and refrigeration. In addition, it helps fight hunger by redirecting edible food. Therefore, small changes at home support big environmental goals.
