TORRANCE, Calif – April 17, 2017 – Wards announced that the all-new 2018 LC 500h flagship performance coupe has earned a spot on its annual “10 Best Interiors” list. To be eligible, vehicles’ interiors must be all-new or significantly redesigned for the U.S. market. The automaker evaluates each vehicle on aesthetics and design harmony, as well as materials, ergonomics, safety, comfort, value, and fit-and-finish. Also tested is the user-friendliness of the human-machine interface to see how effectively vehicle information is communicated.
“We always knew Lexus was capable of a breathtaking interior like we see now in the LC 500h hybrid”. said WardsAuto Senior Editor Tom Murphy. The color palette alone for this interior is striking. That’s from the rich crimson “Rioja Red” to “Bespoke White.” Moreover, it blends ivory, blue, and orange for customers who want something truly unique. Our test model came with arguably the most conservative color scheme – caramel beige. Yet the dramatic door trim with grooves that flow like drapery immediately won over our judges. We hope Lexus keeps pushing these stylistic boundaries.”
