March 29, 2018 08:00 AM Eastern Daylight Time

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)- At the New York International Auto Show (NYIAS), automakers and Northeast states announced a historic initiative.  One to increase electric car use throughout the Northeast. The ‘Drive Change Drive Electric.’ campaign is the name. For it will focus on the benefits of electric cars.

Drive Electric Campaign’. Major Automakers and State Partners Unite to Help Drive Change by Driving ElectricThe ‘Drive Change. Drive Electric.’ campaign is designed to focus attention on the availability.  Especially of a growing variety of desirable electric models.  The campaign will also showcase the performance benefits.  Moreover and the affordability of these vehicles.  All that are easy to maintain and come in a range of models that fit the needs of any lifestyle.

Introducing “Drive Change. Drive Electric.”

In March 2018, sixteen leading automakers teamed up with Northeast states and utilities to launch the Drive Change. Drive Electric. campaign. Debuting at the New York International Auto Show, the effort seeks to raise consumer awareness of electric vehicles (EVs) across the region.

Goals and Collaborative Strategy

The campaign also encourages drivers to test and consider EVs by highlighting their environmental benefits, affordability, and performance. It also promotes incentives, expanding charging infrastructure, and improving EV access. Automakers, states, and utilities together form a powerful alliance aimed at accelerating mainstream EV adoption. For the record I worked with this campaign in the Hudson Valley region.

Consumer Outreach and Educational Tools

To reach potential buyers, Drive Electric sponsors events, digital marketing, social media engagement, and regional branding tools such as “Explore Electric Cars.” This online tool garnered over 23,000 page views and drove nearly 18,000 referrals to automaker websites—indicating growing consumer interest in EVs.

A Blueprint for Broader Change

By uniting public and private stakeholders, the campaign demonstrates how collaboration can build confidence in EVs. Beyond raising awareness, it provides a replicable model for regions across the U.S. pursuing clean transportation goals.

The ‘Drive Change Drive Electric.’ campaign will also encourage the public to test drive an electric Car.

About ‘Drive Change. Drive Electric.’

In conclusion, the ‘Drive Change Drive Electric’ represents a unique public-private partnership.  All because ‘Drive Change Drive Electric.’ aims to put more electric cars on the road.  I mean than ever before. For more information, visit www.Driveelectricus.com

When people think of new technology and high-performance vehicles, they automatically assume it comes with a high price tag. Electric cars are changing that perception. In many cases, electric cars can actually be cheaper than gas-powered cars once you factor in federal tax credits, purchase incentives offered by some states, savings on fuel and routine maintenance, and insurance discounts and rebates.
