Volvo V60 Polestar Engineered eAWD 2025: Test Drive Results

Taking the 2025 Volvo V60 eAWD Polestar Engineered for a Spin: The Green Living Guy’s Verdict

I’ve always believed that the transition to cleaner transportation doesn’t mean compromising on performance or luxury. So when I got my hands on the 2025 Volvo V60 eAWD Polestar Engineered smiles came across my face. For I was eager to see if this plug-in hybrid lived up to the hype. Spoiler alert: it absolutely delivers on multiple fronts!

First Impressions Matter

The moment I approached the V60, I noticed its sleek, understated design that screams Scandinavian elegance. Furthermore, the Polestar Engineered touches give it a sporty edge that sets it apart from standard wagons. The gold brake calipers peek through the wheels, instantly signaling that this isn’t your average family hauler.

Electrified Performance That Excites

Pressing the start button, I immediately appreciated the quiet electric mode that engages by default. However, when I switched to Power mode and hit the accelerator: oh boy. I mean the combined output of approximately 455 horsepower from the turbocharged, supercharged engine and electric motor. Well, it pushed me back into the seat with authority.

The V60 Polestar accelerates from 0-60 mph in just 4.3 seconds, which means it outperforms many sports cars while still offering the versatility of a wagon.
Additionally, the Γ–hlins dampers give exceptional handling that makes winding roads a genuine pleasure to navigate.

Electric Range That Makes Sense

During my week-long test, I consistently achieved around 41 miles of pure electric range on a full charge. As a result, most of my daily commuting and errands ran entirely on battery power. Moreover, the transition between electric and hybrid modes happens seamlessly when more power is needed.

The regenerative braking system is particularly effective, especially in one-pedal driving mode. I really found myself rarely using the brake pedal in city driving, which adds to the efficient, futuristic driving experience.

Interior: Sustainable Luxury

Inside, the V60 Polestar Engineered combines luxury with sustainability in a way that resonates with my green living philosophy. For instance, the wool blend upholstery option provides a premium feel while reducing the environmental impact compared to traditional leather.

The minimalist dashboard, dominated by the portrait-oriented touchscreen, eliminates clutter while still providing all necessary information. Also, the Bowers & Wilkins sound system turns the cabin into a concert hall. That’s making even the most eco-conscious drives feel indulgent.

Safety: Volvo’s Unwavering Commitment

Unsurprisingly, the V60 Polestar Engineered comes equipped with Volvo’s total suite of safety features. Furthermore, I tested the Pilot Assist system on highway drives. I found it reduces driver fatigue significantly while maintaining precise lane positioning.

The 360-degree camera system likewise made navigating tight urban parking spots surprisingly easy for a vehicle of this size. Above all, knowing Volvo’s reputation for crash protection gives additional peace of mind.
