I have worked for the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)  and the New York Power Authority (NYPA). While at NYSERDA I managed the first $100 Million for hybrid electric transit buses and other alternative fueled as well.

I, Seth Leitman, The Green Living Guy also worked in the NYS Senate. So I did work for NYS. However, I thought it was extremely important. Especially for people to have a place where they can post relevant information.

Finally, I also interned for Congressman Benjamin Gilman and Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan. Both internships were in Washington DC. SO I have worked for the State of New York to becoming a green expert on TV too! From electric cars to green schools to LED green lighting. In addition, my experience is vast and since 1998. He has managed projects on indoor air quality and working on alternative fueled vehicles.

Besides the Eco Consulting Services and books, I am also published in reports. So that includes the Electric Power Research Institute and the US Department of Energy. As well, the US Department of Energy and finally the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.

This is to transportation, energy, environment and renewable energy issues that face our world today. My company is called ETS Energy Store LLC  So people always ask what does ETS stand for?!  Well, E is for energy efficiency, T Is for transportation and S is for also for sustainability.

To spruce up New York City with even more greenery this spring, the New York Restoration Project has partnered with leading online charity auction site, charitybuzz.com, for the first annual Earth Day Auction. Available through May 5 at charitybuzz.com/auctions/NYRPEarthDay, the Restore New York City, Restore the Earth Auction offers bidders the chance to spend the day with the organization’s founder, Bette Midler or act as a muse for a custom painting by renowned artist, Ryan Paul Simmons. The Los Angeles City Council approved moving forward with the Los Angeles Green Business Certification Program. The City of Los Angeles’ initiative, to be administered by the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD), will provide information on how to identify a green business and how businesses can adopt sustainable practices. One of the aims is to enable consumers to support firms that strive to protect the environment. The program was announced at a news conference at Ciudad restaurant. Green Seal, Inc., the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Green Globe and dineLA, a part of LA INC, The Los Angeles Convention and Visitors Bureau will join the LACCD in its work on this effort.
Joe Veilleux doesn’t view himself as an environmentalist, but he understands how his actions might paint him with that brush. “I’m not an environmentalist,” said Veilleux, general manager of the U.S. operations of natural health ingredient manufacturer Euromed. “I’m a pragmatist. There’s a difference. A lot of environmentalists have characterized their cause as one that pits them directly against corporate America. I’m part of corporate America, but I also recognize the debt I owe to the environment and want to do my fair share to protect it. In the long run, it’s just good for business and there are plenty of examples throughout history of how our environment is one of our most valuable natural resources.” Veilleux’s company is partner with the Everglades Foundation in a campaign dubbed Glade-iator (www.glade-iator.org), which is a model of the public-private partnership Veilleux believes is good for business.
