Lexus CT 200h hybrid electric car

Lexus CT 200h: The Future of Luxury Hybrids

Last year marked the introduction of the all-new CT 200h, Lexus’ fifth hybrid vehicle and second dedicated hybrid. As Lexus continues to dominate the luxury hybrid market, the CT 200h premium hybrid demonstrates the brand’s commitment to unparalleled quality, sophistication and technology. In its second model year, the CT features a new VehicleProximity Notification System that helps alert pedestrians and cyclists of an oncoming vehicle under certain conditions by emitting a low audible warning sound. In addition, it brings one new exterior color as Nebula Gray Pearl replaces Smoky Granite Mica for 2012.
The CT 200h’s size, packaging, full hybrid technology and ultra-low emissions perfectly meet the requirements of a young, highly discerning, environmentally conscientious customer base. Yet it offers no compromise on the refinement and driving pleasure which hallmark the progressive luxury inherent in every Lexus.

PHILIPS WINS PRESTIGIOUS DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY L PRIZE

Go Green Lighting!!
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) awarded Philips Electronics the Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize (L Prize) in recognition of being the first company to successfully develop an LED replacement for the common 60-watt incandescent light bulb. Submitted in 2009, the Philips LED bulb was the first and only product to successfully complete 18 months of rigorous field, lab and product testing, meeting or exceeding the high standards established by DOE for quality.
In 2007 the US Department of Energy (DOE) established a competition, the Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize (L Prize), challenging the lighting industry to develop replacement technologies for two of the most widely used and inefficient products: 60 Watt incandescent light bulb and PAR 38 halogen light bulb. The DOE recognized that energy efficient alternatives needed to be made readily available and become the new standard for Americans.

The Wildlife Works Facebook store-front allows consumers to easily offset their carbon footprints as well as purchase carbon neutral apparel without leaving the 750 million-strong social network.
The carbon offsets are generated from Wildlife Works’ ground-breaking REDD (reducing emissions from deforestation and degradation) initiative in Africa that protects over 500,000 acres of Kenyan forest.
