LEDs are the light product to go green in houses for green lighting

All the time in my house, I had been using compact flourescent lighting (CFL) dimmable bulbs. However, in celebration of my book Green Lighting, I thought it was a good time to start switching out my lighting a few years ago. This was the moment my Home goes LED light bulb for the first time.

Yes, CFL bulbs are a good start if you have a problem just switching over from incandescent like a lot of my original clients did.

Now I use MSI Lighting primarily and some Philips LED lamps with some Cree lighting sprinkled around. Yet MSI Lighting has always stood the test.

However, it’s better with Light Emitting Diode (LED) because your wives have a better chance of loving the light it produces and heck of a lot less energy. I even had some of the current CFLs, specifically the GE 23 watt CFL bulbs, which were fine for their time but could not compare to the benefits of LED technology. After some research and consideration, I went to a 10 watt MSi LED, which not only provides a brighter and more natural light but also drastically reduces the energy consumption in my home.

Even better now, I can change the bulbs in my son’s room over to LED as well. The bulbs I have there are currently incandescents (65 watt) that we use on dimmers at half the voltage, creating a softer ambiance but consuming way too much energy. That was because my wife hates the CFL bulbs and finds the light quality unappealing, which is quite common among many people. Now, with the introduction of LED, we can cut costs and energy consumption significantly by switching to the 10 watt PAR 30 or even 9 watt PAR 30 bulb, which offers comparable or even superior lighting. I can tell you that these LED bulbs last an impressive 25,000 hours vs. less than 6,000 hours for the incandescent ones. This incredible lifespan means you will probably need to change them in a long, long, long, long time, making them not only a wise financial investment but also a sustainable choice for the environment. Overall, the transition to LED lighting is not just about saving money; it’s about enhancing the quality of light in our home while doing our part for the planet.
