Green Cleaning Segment with The Green Living Guy – VIDEO

🧼 The Green Living Guy Shares Green Cleaning Tips on NYC TV Segment

So this is one of my TV segments on green cleaning tips I did for the City of New York. All for the NYC Media (yes it is a real television channel) in the City of NY. I mean for NYC. So I ALSO ask you to check it out on TV. It’s on the 25 and 55 of every hour to look out for it.

For this episode is on green cleaning. On April 2017, Seth Leitman—known widely as The Green Living Guy —appeared on NYC Media’s Urban Green segment to share powerful, practical tips on green cleaning. Airing throughout the day on New York City’s official TV network, this segment brought sustainable home care into thousands of households across the city.

The message? You don’t need chemical

to clean effectively. You just need the right tools, knowledge, and ingredients.

🌿 Green Cleaning Segment Simple Swaps for a Healthier Home

In this fast-paced and informative segment, Seth introduced viewers to common household products that carry hidden health risks. From kitchen sprays to bathroom cleaners, he explained that most conventional brands contain household toxic chemicals —including formaldehyde, phthalates, and ammonia—that can linger in the air and harm your health.

Instead, he demonstrated how anyone can make their own non-toxic cleaning solutions using simple, safe ingredients like:

  1. White vinegar (a natural disinfectant)
  2. Baking soda (a powerful deodorizer and scrub)
  3. Lemon juice (for shine and scent)
  4. Essential oils (for extra cleaning power and aroma)

He showed how these ingredients, when combined correctly, can clean surfaces just as well—if not better—than commercial chemical products.

📺 Broadcast That Made a Difference

The segment aired at :25 and :55 past every hour on NYC Media, giving it repeat visibility throughout the day. This exposure helped educate a broad audience about sustainable living and safer indoor environments, especially for families, pet owners, and those with allergies or asthma.

Seth also emphasized the importance of reading labels—and the fact that cleaning product manufacturers aren’t required to disclose all ingredients. That’s why making your own formulas or choosing Green Seal– or EPA Safer Choice–certified products is so important.

💬 Why It Resonated

This segment stood out because it was relatable, actionable, and deeply relevant. Viewers walked away with more than inspiration—they had real, affordable steps they could take to reduce chemicals in their homes.

It also showcased Seth’s ability to break down complex sustainability issues into clear, empowering solutions. That’s something that’s most noticeably made The Green Living Guy a trusted voice in eco-conscious media.

I show how implementing a green cleaning routine is amazing. It cleans your house without bad toxins for your children snd you to injest. For it is one of the easiest and cost-effective methods of facing the challenges. For example, commercial janitorial services are not only restricted to hospitals, hotels, offices etc. So as your home janitor and the services expandig for you in many other commercial areas including event venues, stadiums and so you may know of.

Conclusion

It’s also not enough that those toxins damage your furniture and possessions. Cause they also cause issues that damage your health and quality of life. See unlike foods, which are required to label their ingredients, cleaning supplies rarely disclose the chemicals included in their formula.
