GREENVILLE, S.C., Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Michelin’s revolutionary X Tweel line is now available on select Mean Green Mowers. That’s right folks. They are makers of the first all-electric, zero-turn-radius (ZTR) commercial mower. How wicked is that?
In addition, the Mean Green Stalker stand-on ZTR model is equipped with MICHELIN® X TWEEL TURF 18-inch drive wheels. They also will have 13-inch caster airless radial tires. Also and more noteworthy, the CXR-60 ride-on ZTR is fitted with MICHELIN® X TWEEL TURF 18-inch drive wheels. So cool!!
So it seems that they started to make this mower in 2008. They decided there was a better way to build a zero-turn mower. I agree, So they designed an electric mower that is much quieter, produces zero emissions, has minimal routine maintenance and demonstrates fuel savings. That quote by Joe Conrad, president of Mean Green Mowers. “Our collaboration with Michelin continues our environmental journey.”
In addition, the 24-inch X TWEEL TURF is also available as a replacement fitment for Mean Green 52-inch and 60-inch ride-on mowers, replacing a standard 24x12x12 tire. Finally, the MICHELIN X TWEEL TURF reduces downtime and is maintenance-free.
“In working with the Mean Green team, we were able to aid them in furthering their innovation and sustainability of commercial electric mowers,” said Olivier Brauen, vice president of Michelin Tweel Technologies.
