Brampton, July 29th, 2019 — Nova Bus, a leading North American transit bus manufacturer, announcing a new order for two fully electric Nova Bus LFSe vehicles. This order as a result is by the City of Brampton. It’s consequently as part of the Canadian Consortium for Urban Transportation Research and Innovation (CUTRIC) Canada-wide Interchangeability Project.
Furthermore, the announcement completes the first phase of this ambitious plan. A plan therefore to deploy electric buses in several Canadian cities. So that’s including Brampton, Vancouver and York Region. As well this announcement was made in the presence of the Honorable Catherine McKenna. Finally, the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change, Mr. Patrick Brown, Mayor of Brampton, several MPs and Mr. Michael Coote, Regional Sales Manager of Nova Bus.
In addition, Nova Bus has been working with CUTRIC since 2016 on the Canada-wide project. All most noteworthy to integrate electric buses and the charging infrastructure of different manufacturers. All therefore into all public transit systems.
Because the goal of this project is to help municipalities. All therefore making the most of the major investments required for electric transit. I mean including making electric buses and manufacturers’ charging stations compatible with each other. The standardization of infrastructure and equipment gives more flexibility to transport companies, to the greatest benefit of our planet.
