Going green easy does not need to be a sacrifice. I mean either for us as individuals. As well or for businesses, governments and the economy.

As I have written about businesses going green easy also. So the Corporate world better get greener quicker. The term “going green” can have different meanings. That’s all depending on the situation. In the corporate world, going green is an involved process. One requiring time, money, and research. All to determine the many factors that are involved. If donations are to be made, who should they go to?

If changes are made in buildings, what should they be? When green initiatives are taken with a scope as large as an entire company, the process can be also be lengthy and detailed.

Then I also wrote back in 2009. I stated that Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Installations and Environment BJ Penn and Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition Sean J. Stackley went green. For they signed the Department of the Navy Green Procurement Program Implementation Guide.

In addition, The Guide; written jointly by Naval Supply Systems Command’s (NAVSUP) Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) and Marine Corps Headquarters. This makes it easy to set up a Green Procurement Program (GPP) for an installation or activity. Thereby making buying green products easier. For example, energy efficient items, bio-based products and non-ozone depleting substances. In addition, recovered material and recovered material-easy. It also helps Department of Navy (DON) personnel understand and execute Department of Defense (DOD) GPP policy.

Luckily we several non-governmental organizations (NGOs) helping!  I mean mostly nonprofit businesses, have popped up. Therefore offering their services to large companies looking to decrease their carbon footprints.

In conclusion, UC launched an innovative new six-part series. They call it Climate Lab. Yet their second episode, “Going green shouldn’t be this hard”. For this one focuses on how individuals, businesses, AND the government can all play their part. Especially in reducing waste and cutting emissions. Finally, when it just posted on YouTube. It got over 6M views.
