Bentley revealed its latest vision of sustainable luxury with the public debut of the EXP 15 concept during Monterey Car Week 2025. The showcase took place at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, where the world’s most iconic cars gather each August. This concept is not intended for production. Instead, it serves as a clear signal of Bentley’s future direction as it prepares to launch its first fully electric vehicles.

A Design Study for the Electric Era

The EXP 15 represents a bold design study created to shape Bentley’s upcoming EV lineup. It combines traditional proportions with modern aerodynamic efficiency. The front grille, long bonnet line, and rearward cabin position echo Bentley’s heritage. Yet the concept clearly updates these features for an electric future, emphasizing clean surfaces, fluid lines, and a muscular stance.

At its core, the concept previews what Bentley grand tourers will look like as the brand transitions to electrification. The design team distilled five guiding principles: upright elegance, an iconic grille reimagined for EVs, the endless bonnet line, a “resting beast” stance, and a prestigious shield framing the rear. Together, these elements present an electric identity that feels distinctly Bentley.

Luxury Reimagined for an EV World

Inside, the EXP 15 delivers more than just futuristic design. It offers a three-seat layout, giving flexibility for passengers, pets, or luggage. Unlike stripped-down minimalist EV interiors, Bentley maintains its focus on craftsmanship. Rich materials, attention to detail, and advanced digital controls blend seamlessly.

Because sustainability is essential to the brand’s Beyond100 strategy, the cabin also uses eco-friendly materials. Therefore, the EXP 15 demonstrates that luxury and environmental responsibility can coexist. This focus proves that Bentley intends to lead not just in performance, but in sustainable luxury mobility.

Strong Debut in California

According to Robin Page, Bentley’s Director of Design, the EV concept impressed one of the world’s most discerning audiences. Collectors and enthusiasts at Monterey praised its presence and sophistication. Page explained that their feedback will influence future design choices, ensuring upcoming EVs resonate with both tradition and innovation.

The California coastline provided an ideal stage. Along the iconic 17 Mile Drive, the EXP 15 appeared against the Pacific Ocean—a backdrop symbolizing both nature and progress. By presenting its EV concept here, Bentley highlighted how electrification is not just a technical shift. It is a cultural transformation for the luxury automotive world.

Returning to Crewe: Shaping the First Electric Bentley

Following its debut, the EXP 15 returns to the Bentley Design Studio in Crewe. There, Bentley’s designers and engineers will refine its DNA. The three-storey facility gives the team the tools to experiment with aerodynamics, digital experiences, and sustainable materials. Each step brings them closer to unveiling Bentley’s first all-electric grand tourer.

This is not Bentley’s first vision of an electric future. The EXP 100 GT concept from 2019 provided an early glimpse. Yet the EXP 15 sharpens that vision, presenting design elements that are much closer to what customers will see in production.

Bentley’s Electric Commitment

The unveiling of the EXP 15 underscores Bentley’s commitment to becoming an all-electric luxury brand by 2030. As part of its Beyond100 plan, every new Bentley will be electrified, with battery-electric models leading the way. The EXP 15, therefore, is not a static showpiece. It is a design promise, representing how Bentley will redefine grand touring in an era where sustainability matters as much as performance.

Electrification does not mean compromise. Instead, it enhances refinement, reduces emissions, and ensures Bentley remains relevant in a world where customers demand both luxury and responsibility. The EXP 15 confirms that the brand’s EVs will be bold, sustainable, and unmistakably Bentley.

Conclusion: A Vision of Electrified Luxury

The Bentley EXP 15 EV made its debut as more than a concept. It is a powerful statement about where the brand is heading. By blending heritage-inspired design with EV innovation, Bentley demonstrated that its future grand tourers will continue to embody elegance, performance, and exclusivity.

On the lawns of Pebble Beach, the EXP 15 looked not only at Bentley’s past but also at its future. It reminded audiences that sustainability and craftsmanship can stand side by side. And it proved that Bentley will continue to define grand touring in the electric age—luxurious, powerful, and unmistakably bold.
