Research shows that we need to keep up with the increase in demand on the planet’s resources. So we need to be building more energy-efficient and sustainable buildings now.

By 2050, Earth’s population will have grown by 3 billion. That’s a lot of extra people to house, feed and sustain. 70% of the world’s population will be living in cities. So now is the time to start building energy-efficient and sustainable buildings.

Increased demand is a certainty. So we can no longer deny the elephant in the room. We also need to address the issue of creating buildings that support the demand. Versus building without setting us further back in other areas. Energy efficiency saves money and creates jobs. It will therefore be essential to both homes and businesses in the future.

So the examples in this infographic shows just how effective energy-efficient and sustainable buildings can be. In addition and more noteworthy how creative these buildings can look!

Consequently, the data set ranges from greenhouse-gas emIssions per capita to green job opportunities per capita. Then similarly to number of smart-energy policies and initiatives.

Some countries have already begun and in this infographic we can see some inspiring and innovative buildings that are paving the way for a sustainable future.
