Powertrain and Performance for the Lexus TX 500h AWD F Sport

Under the hood, the TX 500h combines a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four engine with electric motors. That’s also delivering a total of 366 horsepower. This setup ensures smooth acceleration and also responsive handling. The Direct4 all-wheel-drive system provides stability across various driving conditions. In our test drive, the TX 500h accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 6.1 seconds. Now that’s offering ample power for merging and overtaking on highways.

Fuel Efficiency

The hybrid system excels in fuel economy, achieving an EPA-estimated 27 mpg, yet on average on highway got 32 mpg. During our test, we observed real-world figures close to this estimate, making the TX 500h a practical choice for daily commutes and long trips alike.

Interior Comfort and Space

Inside, the TX offers a spacious cabin with high-quality materials. Front seats are supportive, and second-row captain’s chairs offer ample legroom. The third row accommodates adults comfortably, a notable improvement over some competitors. Cargo space is generous, with 20.2 cubic feet behind the third row, expanding to 97 cubic feet with all rear seats folded.

Driving Experience of the Lexus TX 500h AWD D Sport Performance

On the road, the TX 500h offers a composed and comfortable ride. The suspension absorbs bumps effectively, and the cabin remains quiet at highway speeds. Steering is precise, contributing to a confident driving experience. Still, some reviewers note that the driving dynamics lacks the engagement found in some competitors.

Final Thoughts

The 2025 Lexus TX 500h AWD F Sport Performance finally stands out as a well-rounded luxury SUV. It also combines some level of efficiency, comfort, and advanced features. For a tough SUV it’s most definitely making it a compelling choice for those seeking a reliable and versatile vehicle. As a real green vehicle I’ll pass but it’s a start to electrifying the heavier vehicles in the Toyota fleet of cars.
